The world community considers the achievement of gender equality as the most important condition for the development of a person and society. The analysis of gender relations in society is a current topic. The actualization of gender issues in the world is not accidental: it is based on deep economic, political, social, and humanitarian reasons. The implementation of research tasks was achieved on the basis of the analysis of the main data of the 18th edition of the Global Gender Gap Report (Global Gender Gap Report 2024. World Economic Forum), which assesses gender parity in 146 economies, providing a basis for analyzing changes in the field of gender parity. The methodological toolkit includes methods of analysis that allow characterizing gender relations in society. Based on the analysis of statistical data, expert opinions and studies of a number of scientists, it is convincingly proven that in modern society there is a gender imbalance in the field of politics and public administration; various types of discrimination against women in the labor market and in the economy as a whole have not been overcome; women (especially mothers) face a familywork conflict; in health care, the impact of gender factors on the health of men and women and the organization of medical care is poorly taken into account. It is noted that the difficulty of solving the problem lies in the fact that gender inequality has a complex nature and affects simultaneously different areas of social policy. That is why it is necessary to take more effective measures for the real achievement of gender equality.
