THE RELIGIOUS AXIOLOGY OF CATHOLICISM: ANALYSIS OF CONSERVATIVE AND LIBERAL VIEWS

The article clarifies the religious-philosophical and moral-ethical aspect of axiology, as one of the most important directions of philosophy, which actually determines the social and cultural direction of today. The concept of "religious axiology" is defined; the works of four modern pontiffs were analyzed in detail; it has been clarified what exactly the values are preached by the current Catholic Church; and their rethinking was carried out. The author of this article propose new approaches to the solution of axiological issues posed by the current religious and cultural crisis, and special attention will be paid to the problem of discrimination of a person on various grounds (race, gender, age, nationality), which will have the prospect of practical implementation in the future
