THE TIME OF DIONYSUS: THE CYCLICITY OF CHAOS AND ORDER, TRANSVERSABILITY AND VALUES BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF F. NIETZSCHE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to investigate the cyclicality of Dionysus’ time with characterological transvertibility; to show the significance for the present of the fact of reproducing the cyclical time of the Dionysian mysteries as a typological structure of frenzy, imbalance, tragedy, and internal explosions of the socio-political system. Research methods: hermeneutic – we try to understand the hidden meanings of mysteries and concepts, in the texts of F. Nietzsche, interpretative – we find the meaning of ancient events and present their new, modernized version, throught a number of synergistic concepts – entropy, transvertability, historical-philosophical – we study the development of the idea of the cycle of Dionysian mysteries and their application in a historical context, on Thucydides’ reform, which is presented in the texts of F. Nietzsche, phenomenological – we reveal the experience of Dionysian consciousness in “pure experience”, which remains so “in itself” today, structural-typological – we reveal the universal typological structures of cyclical mysterious Dionysian time as modeling a democratic type of society. Thucydides transferred the life of the polis to the cyclical time of the Dionysian mysteries, which is structurally and typologically characteristic of modern states, along with the attributes of frenzy, tragedy, and human death. Modern theories of chaos, transvertibility, the rapidity of revolutions, wars, crime, and madness show the relevance of the ancient Dionysian mysteries, that is, the time of Dionysus The typology of the socio-political system is based on the structure of the cyclical time of the Dionysian mysteries with the transvertibility of the chaotic time of Dionysus as the source of technologies of massive internal explosions, frenzy, imbalance and tragedy, which are values.
