THE NATURE AND DISTINCTION OF SOFT AND HARD POLITICAL BORDERS IN HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL CONTEXT

Abstract

The article investigates the evolution of political state systems and the organization of political borders throughout historical development, focusing on their distinction by softness and rigidity. The essence of soft and hard political borders lies in their ability to adapt to changes in the political, economic, and socio-cultural context of the modern global world. The study reveals the characteristics of both types of borders, highlighting the flexibility and compromise of soft borders and the centralization and control characteristic of hard borders. In the historical context, examples of the importance of soft and hard political borders are analyzed, where soft borders contribute to trade, cultural interaction, and integration, while hard borders can lead to conflicts and disagreements. The conclusion asserts that achieving the right balance between hard and soft political borders can promote cooperation, diversity, and stability, while an inappropriate approach can lead to conflicts and destabilization. The contribution of the research lies in revealing the dynamics between different types of borders in the context of changing state systems. This article is theoretical in nature.
