ISSUES OF INFLUENCE OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE WORLDVIEW OF APPLICANTS OF HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATION

The paper combines the approaches of philosophy of science and philosophy education to investigate the substantive aspects of the influence of scientific knowledge on the formation of the worldview of students and postgraduate students of higher medical universities. The main conceptual issues that determined the logic and methodology of this study: compliance of academic disciplines with the latest achievements of the relevant sciences, compliance of education systems with paradigmatic changes in science and culture. In this regard, approaches to the classification of sciences were analyzed, trends of differentiation and integration in the process of transition from the classical to postnonclassical model of science. It is substantiated that modern medicine is increasingly gaining the status of a synthetic science, as it is organically linked not only to natural, clinical, but also social and humanitarian, instrumental, technical sciences. Therefore, the professional training of medical students requires development of comprehensive competencies. Philosophical, general scientific, and special sociological methods of collecting, processing and analyzing information were used in the study. The authors, as part of the sociological group of the Bogomolets National Medical University, conducted a questionnaire survey of students (3–5 years of study) and postgraduate students of the university (N=339).
