THE INFLUENCE OF POLITICAL, SOCIAL, AND CULTURAL FACTORS ON CHORAL CULTURE IN PODILLYA (LATE 20TH – EARLY 21ST CENTURY)

Abstract

This article explores the influence of political, social, and cultural transformations on the choral culture of Podillya from the late 20th century to the first quarter of the 21st century. It is argued that these transformations have significantly altered the perception of choral culture within the regional context. Emphasis is placed on the new phenomena such as the transition from the communist regime and Ukraine’s independence, the COVID-19 pandemic, globalization, technological progress, and the Russo-Ukrainian war, which have impacted choral culture, presenting new challenges and opportunities. The importance of analyzing the impact of socio-political and cultural changes on the choral culture of the region is highlighted, and the stages of transformation are briefly described, including key events that have influenced its development. In conclusion, understanding the impact of political, social, and cultural transformations helps to comprehend contemporary trends in the development of choral culture in Podillya and to identify paths for its further development, emphasizing the importance of further research into this phenomenon within the context of cultural studies.
