UKRAINE’S CULTURAL DIPLOMACY IN INTERACTION WITH TURKIC STATES

Abstract

The article examines the development of Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy in relations with Turkic states within the contemporary geopolitical context. It explores the historical prerequisites and current aspects of Ukraine’s cooperation with Turkic countries, particularly in cultural, economic, and political spheres. The author analyzes Ukraine’s historical interactions with Turkic peoples, encompassing a millennia-long history of cultural and military contact. Emphasis is placed on the activities of the Organization of Turkic States as a platform for multilateral cooperation, including cultural exchange. The strategic importance of developing cultural diplomacy with Turkic states for Ukraine is substantiated as part of a global process of strengthening international security and cultural unity. The article describes the current influence of cultural diplomacy on relations among the countries within the Organization of Turkic States and the prospects of integrating Ukrainian culture into this space. In conclusion, the author highlights the role of cultural diplomacy in maintaining Ukraine’s international image, deepening cooperation with the states of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, and the significance of joint cultural projects that foster economic, educational, and political dialogue. The issue of granting Ukraine observer status in the Organization of Turkic States is addressed, alongside the prospects for integration into a cultural space that facilitates interaction, experience sharing, and peacemaking potential.
