TECHNOLOGICAL SINGULARITY: A PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON MODERN SOCIETY

The article provides a philosophical analysis of the concept of technological singularity in the context of the development of convergent technologies. It examines futurological scenarios of human transformation and practices of technological enhancement (cyborgization, genetic engineering, techno-eugenics) that shape the preconditions for a posthuman future. Particular attention is paid to the problem of preserving personal identity, autonomy, and human dignity under conditions of the internal technologization of the human body and the potential genetic programming of future generations. The study demonstrates the coexistence of techno-optimistic interpretations of singularity with critical posthumanist approaches that emphasize the risks of loss of embodiment, social inequality, and increasing control. The necessity of ethical and regulatory frameworks for technological development is substantiated, aimed at ensuring human-centered standards and equitable access to innovations. It is concluded that technological singularity should be understood not merely as a hypothetical stage of development, but as a complex socio-technical process requiring philosophical reflection and normative regulation in order to preserve human identity and ensure fair access to technological innovations
