Global digitalization has fundamentally transformed the value orientations of Chinese women, shifting the emphasis from patriarchal subordination to economic independence, individualism, and self-realization. In this study, the authors examine the specific characteristics of the transformation process of contemporary Chinese women’s value orientations. The authors argue that the massive transition to the digital economy and social networks has enhanced women’s empowerment, providing them with functional tools for career development and social influence. The growing impact of social networks and the digitalization of numerous spheres are thoroughly analyzed. The understanding of digitalization’s influence on the distribution of gender roles in society has been deepened. In the contemporary world, complex processes of social structure transformation and the reconfiguration of women’s roles in society are taking place. These phenomena occur globally, as well as in Chinese society, which experiences constant changes and challenges. In today’s digital society, the media environment plays a crucial role in shaping women’s value orientations, affecting their worldview frameworks and value systems. This study conducts a meticulous analysis of the specific features of the transformation process of Chinese women’s value orientations. While the development of digital technologies leads to the expansion of women’s opportunities, digitalization simultaneously often determines the uneven development of women of different ages and social statuses. Women now act not only as participants in social changes but also as subjects of the digital society’s transformation. Additionally, the study analyzes the impact of information and communication technologies, social networks, and the digital economy on the reassessment of traditional gender roles in contemporary Chinese society.
