Abstract

The urgency of the problem. Electronic music as a phenomenon of cultural creation has not yet been sufficiently explored in its anthropological, aesthetic and existential dimensions. The fact that music sounds "here" and "now" is part of the metacultural system of electronic media, where any information is stored in the form of files, becoming a carrier of cultural, artistic, aesthetic content. The problem lies in the relationship between technogenic and cultural aspects of music. The purpose of the article is to define the phenomenon of electronic music as a cultural dimension of the development of modern musical art. The research methodology is determined by comparative and systemic approaches, which enables a correct comparative analysis of the stages of the formation of electronic music as a system integrity. Phenomenological and dialectical methods help to define figurative transformations of sound matter as a certain "digital culture". Scientific novelty of the article. The phenomenon of electronic music is that music wants to reach a metacultural, intercultural level, beyond its culture, which overcomes all horizons and barriers. Electronic music, which began in the 60s with the emergence of superficial analogies of music with cybernetics, and is also a technical symbiosis, sound processing, acoustic effects, gave an opportunity to rise to another level of reflection, to open the horizons of music-making based on those reflective constructions that are possible now. Conclusions. In Ukraine, the fascination with electronic baroque and algorithmic composition is associated with democratic changes, which have been rightly or wrongly called the Khrushchev thaw. However, electronic music pushed modern composers to create a kind of anti-style, which was formed as the opposite of socialist realism, extremely algorithmically pragmatic utilitarianism of musical harmony. Pragmatics was focused on the opposition of form and content. Electronic music prompted formal inventions in musical culture.
