Abstract

The communicative space, due to its certain properties (relative anonymity, a wide choice of means for creating a profile that can be used for almost any gender representation, distance of communication), provides the opportunity for the development of various virtual gender models and behavioral tactics. Thus, people are more actively involved in the development of their gender socialization than in everyday life (offline), that is, the assimilation of norms, rules and attitudes that society traditionally attributes to men and women. Researchers note that virtual interaction facilitates self-disclosure and the formation of trusting relationships, and promotes the expression of a person’s sincere feelings. Thus, the processes of strengthening self-socialization and updating gender socialization in a social network deserve consideration and are therefore of significant interest for sociological research. The relevance is also due to the growing need of both parents and school psychologists and social educators to understand the role of the Internet and social networks in human psychosocial development, including the gender aspects of these processes. The purpose of this study is to determine the features, strategies and technologies for the formation of gender identity in the conditions of a new generation of development of the information boundary space.
