UKRAINIAN-POLISH HISTORICAL-CULTURAL COMMUNICATIONS IN THE AGE OF DIGITALIZATION

Abstract

The history of Ukrainian-Polish relations is full of both difficult and inspiring periods. This shared historical heritage, which includes long-term cooperation, cultural exchange and conflicts, forms an important basis for modern dialogue. The age of digitalization has opened up new prospects for historical-cultural communications between countries, allowing these connections to be integrated into the global digital space and providing access to the cultural heritage of both countries. The state border is usually perceived as a barrier to communication and development. And indeed, in many respects it creates significant difficulties for border populations and organizations in their daily lives.This problem becomes even more complicated when this border simultaneously divides different economic zones, as is the case with Poland, a member state of the European Union, and Ukraine, which is not a member of the EU.Fortunately, life does not tolerate emptiness, and people have a natural desire for interaction and cooperation regardless of their origin, they strive to overcome any obstacles. Cross-border cooperation is precisely a reflection of these two truths. It brings communities together on both sides of state borders for a common solution to issues that are important to them. The article examines the main areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the context of digitalization, including the digitization of archives, the creation of digital platforms for cultural exchange and the introduction of innovative technologies in humanitarian research. In addition, the challenges that arise on the way to the implementation of these initiatives are analyzed.
