CREATIVITY AS AN EXISTENTIAL DIMENSION OF BEING

Abstract

The article explores creativity as an existential dimension of being. Under the conditions of the technological restructuring of social relations, a devaluation of the uniqueness of the human individual occurs. Emerging as a mechanical component of the social organism, the individual may experience the burden of an existential crisis. This leads to a loss of the value dimension, confusion, anomie, and alienation. In this case, a conceptual demand arises to comprehend the ontological nature of the creative act, shifting the perception of the concept of creativity beyond the ordinary generation of creative ideas, cultural symbols, and artistic outputs. Philosophical reflections on creativity as an existential dimension of being draw attention to the problem of human authenticity. This underscores the relevance of the study, as the investigation of creativity within this framework uncovers new strategies for the selftranscendence of the contemporary crisis of humanity. Here, creativity is outlined as a space in which the individual discovers (finds) the true meanings of the existence of their being. The basis of our study is formed by recent research and publications of contemporary scholars. Currently, there is a vital need to comprehend the manifestation of creativity and the creative act within the meaning-of-life dimension of being. It is worth focusing on the outer and inner dispositions of a person and their manifestations in relation to creativity. The conducted research has allowed us to explicate the phenomenon of creativity as an existential dimension of human being. Creativity emerges as a conscious choice (an existential action) through which the individual transforms the surrounding world and creates themselves within the continuum of authentic existence. This is the pinnacle of human development, wherein the individual first overcomes negativity, then transcends it, and constitutes a new paradigm of their life.
