The article provides a philosophical and educational analysis of modern conceptual approaches to digital civic education as one of the key areas of educational transformation in the context of the digitalization of society. It is substantiated that the development of digital technologies significantly changes the nature of civic participation, political communication, access to information, and mechanisms for the formation of democratic culture, highlighting the need to rethink the content, goals, and value principles of civic education. It is shown that digital civic education goes beyond the formation of technical digital competencies and takes on the character of a comprehensive educational concept that integrates the development of digital literacy, critical thinking, media literacy, ethical responsibility, information security, democratic culture, and active civic participation. Based on the analysis of modern foreign and domestic research, the main areas of scientific discussions on digital civic education are systematized. These include conceptualization of the phenomenon of digital citizenship; definition of the goals of digital civic education; understanding of its axiological principles; research into the potential of digital technologies for the development of democratic participation; and analysis of the risks of digital transformation associated with manipulation, disinformation, algorithmic polarization, information bubbles, digital surveillance, privacy violations, and the growth of social inequality. The special role of the teacher as a facilitator of personal development is substantiated; the teacher, in the conditions of losing the monopoly on knowledge, acquires the function of a mentor capable of forming critical thinking, information culture, responsibility, and value orientations of education seekers. It is concluded that digital civic education is an important component of the modern philosophy of education and acts as one of the key tools for the development of a democratic society, strengthening social responsibility, information sustainability, and a culture of responsible citizenship in the conditions of digital transformation.
